Rather, it is an attempt to present the profile of a little-known Polish fighter ace against the background of several key operations in which Polish fighter squadrons took part in the West. By following the life of Pilot Officer Grzegorz Sołogub, the reader discovers many details about the combat missions during which he claimed his aerial victories.

The publication also offers a wealth of material on all the major combat assignments in Sołogub’s remarkable career. An additional asset is the inclusion of 154 photographs and 12 charts and tables, which not only introduce the participants of the events described, but also allow readers to reconstruct every sortie flown by the book’s protagonist and explore details of some of the aircraft he piloted.
