Eskadry nad Poniatowem

On the estate of Count Zdzisław Grocholski in Poniatów, just before the outbreak of the Second World War and during its first days, a wartime airfield operated in a place known locally as Pyrzowy Kiesz. From here, PZL fighters of three squadrons – 113, 114, and 123 – belonging to the Pursuit Brigade, took off to defend the Polish skies, and after their departure, aircraft of Army “Modlin” also operated from the field.

The book is illustrated with a large number of photographs, many of them published for the first time.
